A good friend of ours runs a plumbing and HVAC company. Solid business, great reputation, always busy. But every time we hung out, his phone wouldn't stop. Calls during dinner, calls on weekends, calls at 10pm. He picked up every single one because he knew what happened when he didn't.
His wife had opinions about it too.
We started messing around with a solution. Built something custom for him that would answer his calls, grab the details, and text him everything he needed. He could call back when he was ready instead of dropping everything the moment his phone rang.
It worked. He stopped missing jobs. He stopped answering calls at night. We kept building it out and eventually started offering it to other businesses.
He was our first client. He still is.
